Ccleaner is my cornerstone app to clean up my PC. It definitely finds lots of crap like old archives or unused regsitry files. I always surprised how much junk I actually pile up in my PC. I really like the uninstaller because it's fairly quick and you can uninstall multiple programs at once, something I never managed from my PC's control panel.
If there's something to complain about, it's that CCleaner sometimes slows down (but that's when there's really a big mess to clean up). Also I've sometimes needed to launch it a second time, because it hadn't erased all the regsitry files.
On the whole though, it's my favorite maintenance app.
